11/18/09 I received a call from Rod Nacewicz today who related that former
Utica-Rome Hobby division track champion Buddy Thurston passed on Oct. 28th. A
memorial service will be held the Saturday evening in Vernon, details can be found
here. I'd like to wish condolences to the Thurston family on their loss.

I realize my update is a bit late this week, it's been a rough go lately for my hometown
of New Berlin NY. We've lost many friends this year, in the Spring my brother's father
in law Tom Turner passed, on Sept. 27th former Pop Wilcox crew member Bud Lyon
passed, the following week our longtime high school librarian Ellen Lloyd, on Oct.
11th Carl Carpenter passed from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident, this past
Friday my friend Randy McIntyre died from injuries in a ATV accident and this past
weekend former Midstate Competitor Lydle Smith died in Florida. A small community
like New Berlin is like family and we've lost too many recently, I'd like to offer
condolences to all families who've lost loved ones.

I visited Larry Witter this past week, he's been moved out of the CCU and is now in
room 363 at Wilson Hospital, he was in good spirits.
Lastly, I'd like to extend my condolences to the Turner and Ackerman Families of
Pittsfield and New Berlin respectively on the loss of patriarch Tom early Sunday
morning. I'm very sorry for the loss.

3/25/09 Just recieved word that club member Larry Witter will be undergoing

I visited Larry Witter this past week, he's been moved out of the CCU and is now in
room 363 at Wilson Hospital, he was in good spirits.
Lastly, I'd like to extend my condolences to the Turner and Ackerman Families of
Pittsfield and New Berlin respectively on the loss of patriarch Tom early Sunday
morning. I'm very sorry for the loss.

3/25/09 Just recieved word that club member Larry Witter will be undergoing

And lastly - I have to add that my boy Belvedere passed this past week. He was easily
one of the nicest souls I've ever had the pleasure of knowing; fun, happy, kind,
slobbery, he wasn't stingy with his love. I'll miss him but never forget.
