| Meet the supporting members of the Midstate Antique Stock Car Club |
Susan Ackerman - Susan is the wife of Richard Ackerman owning the #43A, #43,
#P13, #151. Susan is also in charge of the "Complaint Dept."
Kay Chase - Kay is the wife of Jim Chase owning the #2K, #66, #150. Kay helps out
at the tracks with lap sheets and line-ups, she willingly opens her home
for club meeting and oversees the planning & coordinating of the Annual
Old Time Stock Car Convention, Reunion & Hall of Fame Induction.
Barb Clark - Barb is the wife of John Clark owning the #3X, #3x. Barb is no stranger
to the racing world. She helps run Utica-Rome Speedway and is always
willing to help out the club in any way she can.
Thelma Cole - Thelma is the wife of Ray Cole owning the #29, #9. You can always
count on Thelma to be sporting a sweet smile across her face.
Chris & Josh Hilimire - Chris & Josh are the sons of Jim Hilimire owning the #99 &
#111. These two boys come all the way from the state of
Georgia where they also race as a hobby to support our club.
Cliff Kotary - Cliff is the only 6 time winner of the NYS Fair Championship race as well
as a former Waterloo track champion. His accomplishments in racing are
too numerous to list and we're pleased to call him our friend. He's been
supporting our club since the early 1990's and continues to, you can read
more about Cliff here.
Roy Kotary - Roy is Cliff's son and accompanied Cliff during his racing heyday in the
1950's and 1960's. Roy often helped wrench on the famous 60X cars as
well as acting as Cliff's Pit Steward. He can tell you many a descriptive
story of the time and was also a pretty good drag racer himself.
Sue Lowe - Sue is the girlfriend of Howdy Witter, driver of the #4. Sue holds probably
the most important position in the club as "Race Director". She tracks the
lap sheets, sets up the line-up. She organizes the entire show. She truly
is an asset to this club.
Sharon Parry - Sharon is the wife of Richard Parry owning the #37. Sharon is a
great spirited kind hearted gal. Her & Richard are always willing to
"drive the extra mile" for any club event. They are very big supporters
of the MASCC. Sharon & Richard were long time planners of the Old
Time Stock Car convention, Reunion & Hall of Fame Induction.
Bob Ripley Sr. - Bob Ripley Sr. is the father of Bob "Rip" Ripley Jr owning the #6.
Scott Ripley - Scott is the brother of Bob "Rip" Ripley Jr owning the #6.
John Ross - John has been involved in racing since the early 1960's, working on his
father's car. He has built cars and raced with the Midstate club for years
and is presently head wrench on Gary Woods #97.
Roxanne Weaver - Roxanne is the wife of Alan Weaver owning the #77. Roxanne -
like the rest of us ladies would really rather "house projects" get
done over race cars. If you can't beat em', join em'. Roxanne
spends time wrenching on the car right along with husband, Alan
Howdy Witter - Howdy is the driver of the #4. Owned by father, Larry Witter. Howdys
been driving with the club since 1989. They attend every
event, take the checkered once in a while and add great fun to our
club.
Tom Witter - Tom is the driver of the #9 owned by Tom Toomey. Tom is a big supporter
of our events and is presently building own car #55 to run with the club.
