The #29 Bantam coupe 'bug' of Don Beagell was a fixture at 5
Mile Point and well known at Midstate Speedway as well. With it's
long nose and short body, it was commonly known as the
'Dachshund' and with Beagell at the wheel, won many a race. The
car was a bit controversial as well as at the end of the STSCC run at
Five Mile, it came under scrutiny of the rules - as the attached article
by Pat Buck suggests. This car was reproduced by Mike Newell and
John Mason as a tribute to Don and his success.
