Hal Lunt Restoration
THE CAR WAS FOUND AND FIRST RESTORED BY HAL LUNT OF WEST TOLLAND,
CT. WE MET HAL THROUGH THE NEAR CLUB AS I WAS TRAVELING FROM RI.
TO NY. HAL, ALONG WITH FLATHEAD GEORGE MATEYCHUK MADE MANY OF
OUR EARLY EVENTS AT FONDA AND BROOKFIELD. WE NATURALLY FELL IN
LOVE WITH THEIR CARS AS THEY BOTH LOOKED AND RAN GREAT. AN
UNFORTUNATE INCIDENT AT DEVILS BOWL IN VT. EFFECTIVELY ENDED HAL'S
INVOLVEMENT WITH THE CAR AND IT WAS SOLD TO GEORGE LIBBY OF
WESTBORO CT. TO START IT'S SECOND RESTORATION.

GEORGE GUTTED THE CAR AND RESTORED IT TO 1964
SPECIFICATIONS. WE OFTEN SAW PICTURES OF THE CAR AT MEETS
SUCH AS DAYTONA, LIME ROCK AND THE RIVERSIDE REUNION SHOW
WHERE CHICK TOOK THE TROPHY WITH THE CAR. WHEN IT BECAME
AVAILABLE THIS PAST YEAR WE WERE PLEASED TO HAVE THE
OPPORTUNITY TO OWN IT AND PLAN TO SHOW IT AROUND NY.
